SPRING FEVER IN JANUARY?

And so it is. Whether it proves to be a good thing or a bad thing, for now it is a nice thing!

The sunshine kisses the old skin with kindness in the 60 and 70 degrees temperatures we’ve been having off and on for several weeks. It feels so nice to sit in the sunshine. Christmas day was 70 degrees!

I giggle when we wake up to mostly frosty mornings, because I know that about the time we finish morning coffee, we’ll need to turn off the heater and open the windows soon after for some fresh air.

A stroll through the gardens reveals daffodils breaking through the soil, and in some places they are quite on their way up as you can see. I know I will have to cover them with more soil and compost before the freezing weather is back for awhile. And it will be back. This is much too soon for a real spring – just a spring break and one that we are enjoying.

The grandkids and the farm animals are making the most of it, too.

We had the pleasure of their company this past week and oh what fun to be out in the sun!

Spring is probably not really far off, but we are enjoying a bit of SPRING FEVER

in the middle of winter!

Our hearts go out to those fighting fires in Australia, those innocent in war-torn countries and those who are struggling to keep warm and fed here in our own country!

God Bless us one and all!
