She didn't recognize him. She didn't know his voice.
She thought He was the gardener. The stone had been moved.
Wrappings were on the ground. His body was gone.
She was too deep in grief to see.
She didn't recognize Him.
But then He said her name. "MARY!"
(Mary Magdalene)
And when He did, in that instant her whole being recognized and believed.
No questions. No hesitations. Just relief.
She replied, "Rabbouni!" (Hebrew for Teacher)
Her eyes were opened and she saw the light.
The Light was her Rabbouni, her Friend, her Savior, her Redeemer.
He is our Light, too, if we recognize Him.
He calls our name, over and over.
