There comes a time when just plain water doesn’t hit the spot, especially after a workout OR working out doors in 100 degrees heat!
It’s too early for a glass of wine and too late for another cup of coffee.
You’ve already consumed over a quart of fresh-brewed iced tea.
What to do? What to do?
Then you remember that refreshing, hydrating thirst quencher that everyone has been talking about, so you get busy making some!
You will need some fruit preferably strawberries, citrus and fresh mint leaves.
This is a good recipe, but you can make it with whatever you have on hand.
You can always add pure lemon or lime juice if you don’t have any fresh.
2 cups Strawberries, hulled & sliced
1 Cucumber, thinly sliced
1 small Lime, thinly sliced
1 small Lemon, thinly sliced
A few sprigs of Fresh Mint Leaves
One half gallon jar (Glass, not Plastic) of fresh drinking water
Wash and rinse the strawberries, cucumber, lemon and/or lime and mint leaves.
Thinly slice the Strawberries, cucumber and lemon and/or lime.
Combine all ingredients in the large glass jar/pitcher and refrigerate a couple of hours.
ENJOY!
And if you want to wake up feeling really fresh
and hydrated - before you even begin your day,
try a glass of this before bedtime!
It detoxifies and boosts your metabolism!
After you have finished off this refreshing drink,
refill the jar with water and leave it in the refrigerator overnight!
