A TREK IN THE SNOW

Grandkids are so fun to observe when they are experiencing a snow fall. We went for a trek in the beautiful snowfall the other day

while they were here visiting.

I'm a few paces ahead so that I can take some proper pictures

of the scenery and of them.

Our little almost four year old stops to observe my boot prints in the snow and says, "Look MomMom, BEAR TRACKS!"

We continued on our way to the gardens to see what we could find. Apparently the falling snow was the most intriguing.

Then off we went to check on all the livestock and farm critters.

Look who's home, MomMom!

Marley, Daisy and Cupcake!

The dairy does were happy to see some friendly faces.

The kids were happy to see them, too!

Then off to check on the hens in the hen house,

who were not at all very happy to be disturbed -

-- and some of them left abruptly in a little tizzy.

It was time for a break.

This trekking in the snow and icy wind can be exhausting!

Every snowflake has it's own little DNA. No two are alike.

No two grandkids are alike either!

Time to check on the livestock and Biscuit, the guardian dog.

Better gets some exercise in, too. MAN STYLE.

And guess who won...

And that rounds out a day in the snow. Baby, it's cold outside!!!

Now it's time for Grandmother's homemade cookies and hot chocolate

and a favorite cartoon to watch! Yummmy...
