COLORS SET A MOOD

There is a poetry in the colors of nature, photography, and paintings. Each one, if you look closely and long enough tells a story and each story sets a mood. We relax, get cozy, get all fired up, passionate, reminiscent, sad, cheerful, etc.

Lately I have been into shades of green. Everything green lately seems to be jumping out at me. Nature has never been more lush and green than it is right now. Pictures and paintings and clothes (in shades of green) are catching my eye as well. This to me is beautiful, passionate, and spiritual, even poetic.

I’ve been experimenting with different shades of greens to come up with a trio of colors to paint our sad old house on the outside. It certainly needs a facelift, and if going to the expense of adding siding isn’t in the budget just now, maybe gallons of paint will do. Several shades of green come to mind.

Here are just some of the shades of green that tell a story.

What story do you hear and what mood does green set for you?

Won’t you help me pick a trio of house colors, which might include a trim of cream?
