FOR THE LOVE OF MARCH

March is a sure sign that spring is almost here!

In fact, it's officially spring on March the 20th. Clapping hands!

We begin to shake off the winter shudders, fling open the windows on a warm, sunny day, and cherish all signs of plants and flowers that have survived the winter cold. We become ecstatic over the first daffodile blooms and vases of them on the kitchen table.

While the official last frost date isn't until mid-April here in Arkansas, plants, bushes and trees begin to blossom anyway,

paying no attention to Mother Nature's potential,

but hoping for her blessing instead!

It's always in March when the first kids (baby goats) arrive.

This is an exciting time.

It's also a time of prepping the gardens for spring planting.

These stiff old wintertime bones must come alive now

and do some garden cleanup and raking.

Not to mention cleaning out the chicken coop and goat shed. UGH

But, all in good time, for now we must enjoy the arrival

of the coming of Spring!
