When it’s tea time in this house, it is TEA TIME in this house. I take it very seriously. I know how to take breaks now, several times a day - more if needed, the older I get. When I was younger, I didn’t so much. I didn’t think it was good to slow down until after everything was done. That never happened (everything getting done), so it took me many years to realize that was why I was forever exhausted. I’ve since learned my lesson.
I do realize that young mothers or people who are on pay-roll and work from home cannot so easily take these breaks as often. I have been there. But do take them every chance you can to rest your body and lift your spirits.
Back to Tea Time. It is also understood that this is another word for “STOP and BE STILL”. I usually fix myself a cup of tea, mocha or hot cocoa. My old broken-down green tweed "prayer chair" calls my name, and I usually sit there and actually be still. Sometimes I will flip through a garden or home magazine.
However, the last couple of weeks, because of the bitter cold temperatures we are having and being stuck indoors more than usual, I have been amusing myself with time-line pictures (on-line). I am ever so grateful I don’t have to live out in this cold and blessed that I can enjoy the scenes in a warm cozy home. So, here are a few of my favorites.
I hope you enjoy this TEA TIME with me.
...and finally, to make you smile...
...yeah, I saw that!
